Building a $1,399 RC Mountain Quarry

Five days in the shop, from bare tray to a running quarry with a mountain, tunnel, waterfall and haul roads. Here is exactly how a PRO site comes together.

Building a $1,399 RC Mountain Quarry

Day 1

Mountain

The tray gets its skeleton first. We block out elevation, lock in the mountain mass and set the switchback road grade so a loaded dump truck can actually climb it without spinning out.

Day 2

Quarry

The pit is cut next. Bench heights are set so an RC excavator can reach the floor and still swing clear, and the quarry wall gets its stacked rock face.

Day 3

River

Water day. Stream bed carved, rock ford crossing set, waterfall poured off the mountain shoulder. Everything is sealed so it survives real play.

Day 4

Landscaping

Ground cover, scrub, pines, loose boulders, mud bog ruts and the construction yard with pipes, crates and barriers. This is the day it stops looking like a build and starts looking like a place.

Day 5

Final Test

We run it. Excavator, dump truck and loader all work the site. Every haul road gets driven, every grade gets tested loaded, then the site is packed and shipped.

Five days after the order, a finished construction environment shows up at the door. No kits, no glue, no epoxy.
